This is in recognition of the high standards maintained by the Institute in technical education.

This permits St. Xavier’s to design its own curricula and issue its own Diplomas which will henceforth be equivalent to Diplomas issued by the Maharashtra Government’s Board of Technical Education.

FLEXIBLE MULTI-POINT ENTRY & CREDIT SYSTEM (MPECS) :

St. Xavier’s Technical Institute has introduced the MPECS from June 1994. This allows a student to choose the number of credits he/she wishes to take during a semester and thus go at his/her own pace. It allows a  student to choose from several  available electives to obtain the total number of credits required for award of the desired Diploma.

GMDSS CENTRE :

St. Xavier’s is the Regional Examination Centre for the Global Maritime Distress and Safety System Course appointed by Association of Marine Electronics & Radio Colleges (U.K.)

In June ’94 St. Xavier’s  was accepted as a full member of the AMERC, U.K., making it the first international member of AMERC.

In February  2000, St. Xavier’s received the approval from the Directorate General of Shipping and the Ministry of Communications to conduct and train candidates for the GMDSS (Indian Certification) Examinations, the Certificate for which is awarded by the Government of India.
