All the Colleges (Champlain College, Becker College &
Marlboro College) are fully accredited by the New England
Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC). This is the
authorized body to accredit all colleges in the ‘New
England’ region of U.S.A. Other institutions accredited by
the NEASC include Harvard, Yale and MIT. The University of
Incarnate Word (U.I.W.) is regionally accredited by the
Southern Association of Schools and Colleges (SACS) and
nationally accredited by the Association of Collegiate
Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP).
Students will be able to pursue high-quality, accredited
US graduate and undergraduate education without the usual
time, cost and distance barriers involved in going abroad
for studies. The lectures and sessions are held in the
classrooms / computer labs at the campus. The University
of Incarnate Word programs will be delivered online. The
complete (24 hours) online option provides an excellent
opportunity for senior executives in mid-career and
businessmen with time constraints for acquiring a much
needed Bachelor’s/MBA degree. An internet connection and
access to a terminal any time during the day for about 9
hours in a week (of which about 2 hours only would be
online) is sufficient.
The Bachelor of Arts in Design will be taught entirely
through regular classroom sessions. Students will
specialize in one of the following areas : Graphic Design
or Interior Design.
The students in these programs have the option of
transferring to the US/Delhi campus any time during the
program. The credits earned in these programs can also be
transferred to any college in the U.S.A., Canada or U.K.
Assessments and grading of the students are done through a
combination of factors such as assignments, projects,
level of classroom participation, quizzes, mid-term exam
and final semester exam. There is no preponderance of any
one factor/exam in deciding the fate of students. The
assessments for grading do not place undue emphasis on
memory, but test the understanding. Assignments and tests
are application oriented.
